Christmas Spirit

A recent trip to Pakistan involved visiting a brick kiln in the Punjab. One of the boys there proudly showed me his Christmas decoration, a star made of sticks. The house was nothing more than a shack, a single room for 5 family members, mud floor, leaky corrugated roof and nothing but a couple of 'charpais' in the corner to sleep on. Yet there was excitement and anticipation of Christmas.. May God truly bring joy to the world and to families like this caught in the never ending cycle of debt bondage.
